Reports: Commanders reach 3-year deal with DT Javon Kinlaw

The Washington Commanders and former first-round defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw are in agreement on a three-year deal worth $45 million, multiple outlets reported Monday.
The deal, which won't become official until the start of the new league year Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, includes $30 million guaranteed, per the NFL Network.
Kinlaw, 27, is coming off his finest season as a pro in 2024 with the New York Jets. Kinlaw collected 4.5 sacks, 40 tackles -- including five for loss -- and five quarterback hits in 17 starts. He played last season on a one-year deal worth $7.25 million.
Kinlaw has 9.5 sacks, 110 tackles, 16 QB hits and an interception for touchdown in 58 career games (45 starts) for the Jets and San Francisco 49ers, who selected him No. 14 overall in the 2020 draft. The Niners declined his fifth-year option in April 2023.
