Reports: Hornets F Miles Bridges won’t waive veto rights for any trade

Hornets forward Miles Bridges has informed the team that he won't waive veto rights for any potential trade this season and wants to remain in Charlotte for the rest of the season, according to multiple reports Thursday.
ESPN said Bridges' agent, Rich Paul, had confirmed the reports.
The Phoenix Suns reportedly had been trying to obtain Bridges as recently as Wednesday night.
Bridges, 25, will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. He previously expressed to multiple media outlets his desire to stay in Charlotte this season and beyond.
Bridges was picked by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, then immediately traded to Charlotte, where he's played since. He is playing this season on a one-year, $7.9 million qualifying offer.
In 39 games (37 starts) this season, Bridges is averaging 21.9 points, 3.3 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game. In 330 career games (225 starts), Bridges has averages of 14.4 points, 2.4 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Bridges sat out the 2022-23 season and 10 games this season as part of a suspension related to a domestic violence case in 2022.
