Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball was involved in a two-car accident in Uptown Charlotte on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports.
Ball appeared uninjured as he exited his custom 2022 Hummer from the driver's side door shortly after the accident.
WSOC-TV obtained dashcam footage showing the accident.
Ball was traveling west on Trade Street, and attempted an unprotected left turn onto the one-way Tryon Street. A Kia sedan was traveling east on Trade when the swerving Hummer attempted to evade the sedan too late, crashing into the front right side of it.
The sedan driver was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Ball has recorded the lowest minutes per game average of his career this season, averaging 19.3 points, 7.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds.
