Reports: Padres, IF/OF Miguel Andujar agree to 1-year deal

Mandatory Credit: Benny Sieu-Imagn Images Veteran infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar is joining the San Diego Padres on a one-year, $4 million deal, multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday.
The contract is pending a physical. Andujar, who earned $3 million in 2025, could make an additional $2 million in performance bonuses.
Andujar, who turns 31 on March 2, is a nine-year veteran who spent last season with the Athletics and the Cincinnati Reds, combining to hit .318 with 10 homers and 44 RBIs in 94 games.
Over 467 games with the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Athletics and Reds, Andujar has hit .282 with 53 homers and 223 RBIs.
His best season came in 2018, when he finished second to Shohei Ohtani in American League Rookie of the Year voting after hitting .297 with 27 homers and 92 RBIs for the Yankees.
