Rex Ryan To Appear As Patriots Fan In Adam Sandler Movie Also Starring Vanilla Ice, Susan Sarandon
Rex Ryan will have a cameo in an Adam Sandler movie due out in 2012 called I Hate You, Dad. He'll play a Boston-area lawyer and a passionate Patriots fan, which is funny, because Rex Ryan wants to be the head coach of the Patriots actually hates the Patriots.
Wikipedia currently describes the film as a "lesbian comedy," which seems inaccurate, based on IMDB's very boring plot summary ("A disagreeable father who moves in with his son before he's about to get married.") But the current cast, as listed on IMDB, is an absolute wonder: along with Rex, we've got Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, presumably as someone's mercurial love interest, Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva Amurri in a mother-daughter role, James Caan of The Godfather, Andy Samberg and Will Forte from Saturday Night Live, and Ciara and Vanilla Ice, who somehow are not playing themselves.
And then there is Rex, who incredibly did not take his interview with the Star-Ledger today as an opportunity to employ acting's version of a Super Bowl prediction:
I'm not going to make a guarantee that there's an Oscar coming, but (Robert) De Niro, Ryan, I don't know, you'll have to see the movie and see what you think.
Jeez. It must be rather humbling to deliver lines alongside the likes of Vanilla Ice.
