Richard Sherman's 49ers Versus Russell Wilson's Seahawks Should Be A Hoot
credits: Otto Greule Jr | source: [object Object] If for no other reason than that he will face the Seattle Seahawks, and thus Russell Wilson, twice per regular season, this should be fun: Richard Sherman has reportedly joined the San Francisco 49ers:
ESPN’s Josina Anderson has the deal worth up to $39.15 million over three years, but that “up to” is doing a lot of work, according to Tom Pelissero:
Sherman is 29 years old and is coming off a ruptured Achilles tendon that ended his 2017 season in Week 10. I suppose no one (other than perhaps Sherman himself) will be especially surprised if he never regains anything like the form that made him the NFL’s most dominant cornerback during his prime. For now, it’s fun to think of his goal-minded “ iron sharpening iron” antagonism of Russell Wilson turning over fully to competitive hostility.
