Ricky Rubio Out Indefinitely With Severe Ankle Sprain
Poor Ricky Rubio. Just about a week after signing his five-year, $55 million contract extension, the Timberwolves point guard will miss some time with a severe ankle sprain, suffered Friday against the Magic.
Rubio has never quite lived up to his inital hype, but he's the unquestioned leader of Minnesota with Kevin Love gone, and there was some excitement to see him bring along the Wolves' rookies this year. He's struggled with injuries, but fortunately this looks like something he can recover from. Hopefully he comes back soon and has some lobs left for Zach Lavine and Andrew Wiggins.
