Rory McIlroy just made his dad a lot of money.

Sure, by winning The Open Championship McIlroy pockets over $1,000,000, but his dad and three of his buddies also make over $340,000, courtesy of a bet they placed when Rory was 15.

McIlroy led the tournament from wire-to-wire, despite the golf world tuning in to see if he would have another major collapse. Sergio Garcia made it interesting on the tournament's final day, shooting six under par and closing to within two strokes of McIlroy.

But at the end of the day, it's Rory holding the Claret Jug, and his father cashing out.
