Sokolowski-Imagn Images The Saskatchewan Roughriders will look to avenge their lone loss of the season when they visit the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday night.
The Roughriders (8-1) have won four in a row since the Stampeders (6-3) recorded a 24-10 victory on July 12 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
"We know that we're better than that," Roughriders linebacker C.J. Reavis told the Regina Leader-Post. "I feel like we've got a good chance to come out there and get our lick back.
"It's always good getting hit in the mouth. ... I think it was a good reality check for us and at the perfect time."
Calgary's Vernon Adams Jr. completed 28 of 36 passes for 428 yards with three touchdowns in the victory over Saskatchewan. Rookie Damien Alford reeled in a pair of scoring strikes among his six catches for 156 yards.
"That was a long time ago -- I don't worry about it," Stampeders general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson said, per the Calgary Sun. "I know Saskatchewan's playing good football. They've got a lot of talent and weapons but also continuity."
Adams also sang the praises of the Roughriders.
"We got the best team in the league coming in this week," he said, per the Calgary Sun. "So we've got to prepare hard this week. Keep practicing hard and show up on game day in front of a great crowd."
Riders star Trevor Harris threw for 425 yards and a touchdown in the initial meeting with the Stamps, with Joe Robustelli tallying 11 receptions for 191 yards and a score.
Harris also fared well in Saskatchewan's 29-9 romp over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last weekend, completing 21 of 27 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns.
The defense more than held up its end of the bargain by forcing four turnovers. The Roughriders have allowed a CFL-low 183 points, just ahead of the Stampeders (192).
