Moore last pitched in the majors for the Los Angeles Angels in 2024. He signed a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox last season before being released in April.
Moore, who turned 37 on Thursday, has a 71-66 record and 4.39 ERA in 369 appearances (164 starts) over 13 seasons with eight big league teams. He made his major league debut with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011 and was an All-Star in 2013 when he went a career-best 17-4 with a 3.29 ERA.
Moore was primarily a starter for most of his career but hasn't served in that role since being with the Philadelphia Phillies (13 starts in 2021). He recorded five of his six career saves with the Texas Rangers in 2022 when he compiled a 1.95 ERA in 63 appearances.
