Scooter Kevin Durant Is Sad
Thunder rookie Mitch McGary is owning his little rolly scooter. Kevin Durant is still fighting it. Give in, KD. Accept your wheels.
Here's sad KD sadly rolling out to a practice court after meeting with the media today for the first time since suffering a foot injury that should keep him out a couple of months.
The Oklahoman has a full transcript of Durant's press conference, in which he said he feels "like Nick Saban, rolling around on my scooter from court to court giving advice and trying to help out as much as I can."
Durant suffered a Jones fracture, or a break at the base of his right pinky toe. The Thunder have cited an average recovery time of 6-to-8 weeks, but that's a guesstimate. Durant says he's "not going to rush" back, because this is all uncharted territory for him—he said he's never had anything worse than a sprained ankle, let alone required surgery.
