SEC Network Sideline Reporter Takes Her Craft To A New Level By "Interviewing" A Dog (Then Kissing It)
The death sentence that is being named Uga found its newest victim this weekend as Georgia named interim English bulldog mascot Russ "officially" to the title of Uga IX.
The previous two Ugas died premature deaths which in no way can be attributed to excessive inbreeding, so we're sure Russ/Uga IX has nothing to worry about. Indeed, he was stoic when asked a series of questions by SEC Network sideline reporter Angela Mallen late in Georgia's blowout of FAU on Saturday. Actually, "stoic" is not the right word; the proper word would be silent as he is a dog and cannot talk.
But, hey, this is the sort of thing that's front-page news in some sectors of the SEC where Russ will be referred to as a "damn good dawg" regardless of his checkered past or if he bites several children in the future. I mean, nobody sober is watching a 56-14 game in the fourth quarter, anyway. S-E-C! S-E-C! [SECN]
