Security Camera Footage Probably Shows BYU Football Players Beating The Crap Out Of Each Other In A Rancherito's
What we know, via the Salt Lake Tribune
- This was uploaded to YouTube at 3 a.m. on Nov. 1, hence the half-hearted Halloween costumes. - Provo's police department confirmed that it's investigating reports of a fist-fight in a 24-hour Rancherito's restaurant that "involved BYU football players." - On Thursday, senior safety Joe Sampson and sophomore linebacker Zac Stout were suspended from the team for the remainder of the season "for violating team rules"—the rules in question were not specified.
Police won't confirm whether those players are the ones under investigation, but both have withdrawn from the school. Here's Joe Sampson's profile, here's Zac Stout's on cougarstats.com—he doesn't seem to have one on the BYU athletics page. Tough to say whether either of them appear in the video, but you can judge for yourself.
I'd say "fast-forward to..." but, honestly, just let it hit you. It's better that way. Big shout-out the guy who comes by to get some napkins at about 1:10.
