Serie A Keeper Scores Ridiculous Stoppage Time Goal On Flying Header
AC Milan had a 2-1 lead on last place Benevento in the 95th minute today, with Benevento setting up for a free kick deep in Milan territory. You know what that means: the underdogs pulled keeper Alberto Brignoli forward to load up the box. And is there any way I would be showing you this video if Brignoli hadn’t done the shit???
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL! That’s not just any old ho-hum keeper goal—that clutch header gave poor Benevento their first point of the Serie A season. Gennaro Gatusso, managing his first game as the man in charge at Milan, looked very much like he wanted to puke and die. Goal.com has him afterward saying “it would have been better to be stabbed,” which might be overstating things a little, but that is a brutal, wonderful finish.
