Shawne Merriman Took Off In The Middle Of An Interview On ESPN2
Former Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman came on Highly Questionable this afternoon, purportedly to discuss the 11th Annual Lights On Foundation Coat Drive. The Lights On Foundation is a Merriman charity and it fights homelessness.
Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones were asking him pretty standard stuff. They asked him about his playing days; how he got caught doing PEDs; how he dated Tila Tequila; what it was like to lose a house to a fire and what it was like to be homeless as a kid. You know, the sort of questions that you might get if you're being asked to look back on life a little and to talk about a charity—your charity—that focuses on homelessness. And Merriman—whether by miscommunication or his choice or his publicist's—decided enough was enough. He said he was finished. Le Batard's and Jones's reactions are pretty priceless.
