Singing The Praises Of The Lakers-Celtics Rivalry
Believe it or not, there was a time when the biggest problem that Isiah Thomas had was random Boston Celtics attempting to place shoes on his head. The year was 1987, and that's not just any Celtic, actually; it's the great Kevin McHale. The last year that Boston has been in the NBA Finals also happens to be the year that Converse made this happenin' commercial, which we have here following the jump. You may have seen this, but I hadn't ... and imagine my surprise when I saw Larry Bird rapping. And by surprise I mean horror.
There is no better way to celebrate the beginning of the Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals. Too bad we can't see the short shorts!
Also to help get you in the mood, Magic Johnson and Bird do some reminiscing over at Fox Sports. Game 1 in just a few short hours, everyone!
