Sleeper 2025-26 NFL MVP Future Betting Picks, Predictions
OTAs are unfolding across America this week, but real football is still several months away.
While we sit around and wait for America’s new pastime to return, we can always take a look at future betting markets to find value before preseason games are even close to starting.
These are our top 2025–26 NFL MVP future award betting picks and predictions. Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is the betting favorite to win MVP with 5-1 odds.
All odds are courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Patrick Mahomes (+600)
It’s no fun to take the betting favorite. And the Ravens play in a tough division with the Cincinnati Bengals expected to be much better and the Pittsburgh Steelers looking to continue to contend whenever Aaron Rodgers decides to sign there.
Reigning MVP Josh Allen, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Mahomes all have the same odds at 6-1.
It’ll be hard for Allen to go back-to-back. Only six players have ever done it — most recently Jackson in 2023–24. Factoring in that same argument that the AFC North will be a gauntlet, we’ll scratch off Burrow as well.
That leaves us with the best quarterback in the NFL — Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes already has two MVPs — 2018 and 2022. He has spoken at length about this upcoming season potentially being the last ride with future first-ballot Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce. If they can make some more magic, Mahomes could win his third MVP.

Brock Purdy (+2500)
It feels like a big chunk of the football universe expects Purdy to fall on his face after receiving a $265 million extension from the San Francisco 49ers this offseason.
But the 49ers are set to have the easiest schedule in the NFL. After a 6-11 season where everything went wrong, Purdy needs to respond.
Deebo Samuel is out of the picture after being traded to the Washington Commanders. That clears the way for this offense to be led by Purdy, do-it-all running back Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Aiyuk.
Remember, this is a regular-season award. If Purdy can take advantage of the weakest strength of schedule in the NFL, he can steal an MVP, silence the haters and put the 49ers right back into playoff contention.

Saquon Barkley (+5000)
It’s hard to believe the season that Barkley had last year.
In his first season with the Eagles, he put up 2,005 rushing yards on 345 attempts. He rushed for 13 touchdowns and scored two touchdown receptions as well.
There was a conversation deep into the season last year about Barkley being in the MVP mix with Allen and Jackson. It just never materialized. While the NFL MVP is a regular-season honor, think about what Barkley meant to the success of the Eagles on their Super Bowl run. It's impossible to ignore, and he's still just 27 years old.
Deservedly, Barkley has the best odds of any non-quarterback to win MVP. What could hold Barkley back is the fact that his quarterback, Jalen Hurts (+2000), is another MVP candidate. He has the luxury of throwing to A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert.
