Spectator Arrested For Trying To Take A Cup Of Masters Sand

This is what happens when you fetishize a golf course to the point of holiness: some drunk dude from Ohio's going to try to pocket some of the dirt. Forty-year-old Clayton Baker was busted Sunday, after the tournament ended, when he slipped under the ropes and attempted to fill a cup with sand from a sand trap. No, it isn't specified which hole, and yes, Baker was "drinking heavily at the time of the incident."

A couple details that make this story even sadder. First, Baker led security and police on "a short foot chase." Second, Baker "was unsuccessful at getting any of the sand in his cup." He was charged with disorderly conduct.
