Stars F Evgenii Dadonov (lower body) to miss extended time

Dallas Stars forward Evgenii Dadonov is sidelined indefinitely due to a lower-body fracture, coach Pete DeBoer announced Tuesday.
Dadonov logged just 8:35 of ice time in the Stars' 3-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
"(Dadonov) had an X-ray in Montreal, and it didn't show anything," DeBoer said Tuesday. "He came back home, and it wasn't getting any better, so we had more detailed pictures taken so he's out for a while here. There's a fracture. They're making decisions now on whether screws have to be put in, things like that, but it's not good news."
Dadonov, 34, has recorded 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) in 50 games this season after signing a two-year, $4.5 million extension in the summer. The extension came on the heels of Dadonov collecting 10 points (four goals, six assists) and a plus-5 rating in 16 playoff games for Dallas.
He has totaled 321 points (143 goals, 178 assists) in 536 career games with the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Vegas Golden Knights, Canadiens and Stars. He was selected by the Panthers in the third round of the 2007 NHL Draft.
