Steven Stamkos scored, and Justus Annunen made 22 saves for the Predators (27-41-8, 62 points), who have lost five straight.

Stamkos gave the Predators a 1-0 lead at 4:37. Filip Forsberg spun around in the right corner and lobbed a pass to Stamkos, who took it to the bottom of the right circle and snapped it through Oettinger's pads.

Wyatt Johnston extended his goal streak to six games to make it 4-1 at 9:45. Mavrik Bourque collected a loose puck by the bench and sent it up to Johnston, who stickhandled on the approach before slipping it by Annunen's left pad.

The Stars outshot the Predators 12-3 in the third period.
