Stellar debut for Dor Turgeman as Revs shut out Atlanta United

Dor Turgeman, making his MLS debut, opened the scoring and set up Leo Campana as the Revolution (9-15-8, 35 points) snapped a four-match winless stretch and earned their first home victory since beating D.C. United 2-0 on Aug. 9.
With the victory, New England improves to 6-1-2 over their last nine meetings against Atlanta (5-14-12, 27 points).
Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner, making his eighth straight start, made four saves for the clean sheet, collecting his 46th win in MLS, tying Bobby Shuttleworth for second-most in club history.
The Revs broke through in the 72nd minute as Turgeman, subbed in during the 58th minute, displayed some excellent footwork before putting a left-footed shot past keeper Jayden Hibbert for his first career MLS goal. The 21-year-old Israeli international was acquired from Maccabi Tel Aviv on Aug. 20.
Campana doubled New England's lead three minutes later, finishing a cross from Turgeman.
The two sides were scoreless at halftime, with New England controlling the first half possession. Atlanta finished the opening 45 minutes with four shots on target while the Revs had three.
Both teams had quality chances at the game's opening goal.
Alexey Miranchuk had a pair of chances for the visitors -- his left-footed strike in the 17th minute from the center of the area was blocked by Revs defender Mamadou Fofana. Then, four minutes later, his shot was saved by goalie Turner.
In the 15th minute, Pedro Amador's shot from the left side of the area was handled by Turner.
New England had quality chances early.
Bartosz Slisz blocked Carles Gil's left-footed shot from outside the box in the fourth minute.
Four minutes later, the Revolution's Allan Oyirwoth took a right-footed shot from outside the box that missed just left of the goal.
Up next, the Revs visit Miami next Saturday, while Atlanta heads to LAFC next Sunday.
