On Wednesday, we reported on USA Today Sports Weekly. Yesterday, on his "Sports Bloggers Live" radio show, AOL blogdude Mr. Irrevelant interviewed Baseball Prospectus' Will Carroll about the rumor:

Carroll: "I really can't talk about it right now. It should be coming out within the next two weeks." SBL: "Is this a name we're actually going to care about?" Carroll: "Yes." SBL: "Is it a World Series champion?" Carroll: "I really can't talk about it." SBL: "I would hope not, because that might turn those White Sox black... Will, cough once if he's on the White Sox... Cough twice if it's Gary Sheffield." Carroll: "I was involved in the appeals process so I can't comment at all."

Well, ALL RIGHT. Now we're talking. Needless to say, everyone's abuzz about this now, even the typically sober-minded and rational Baseball Musings is getting in on the fun, who plays an elimination guessing game to figure out the lucky roid winner. He settles on Steve Finley. We'll have another poll later in the day for your choices. But it's coming soon now. Will it be a White Sox player? A Yankee? Oooh, oooh, this is too much fun.
