Steven Stamkos Stretchered Off After Leg Injury
Oh hey there's a gif too DON'T LOOK AT IT.
Stamkos, whom everybody loves and nobody has ever wished ill upon, hurt himself sliding into his own net in the second period of today's Lightning game in Boston. He attempted to get up (that's hopefully a good sign) before collapsing again, and would be taken off the ice on a stretcher.
There's no word on his injury yet, though he's been taken to the hospital for x-rays, which seem very necessary after watching that play. The Olympics are in three months, so the entire nation of Canada is holding its breath along with the Tampa area.
Update: The Lightning confirm it's a broken right tibia.
