Texas Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays dominated the Rangers on Saturday night, beating them 14-2. Toronto will not find it nearly as easy to run up the score Sunday with Texas ace Nathan Eovaldi getting the start. Eovaldi is 10-3 with a 1.71 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and .196 OBA.
For Toronto, Jose Berrios will take the mound. He’s having a solid season (9-4, 3.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and .244 OBA) and will make the Rangers work for every run they score.
But Eovaldi should take care of business against the Blue Jays’ lineup, so the Texas bats will not need to do much to deliver the win.
Our Pick: Rangers ML at -116

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds
With a 6-5 win in extra innings Saturday, the Brewers extended their win streak to 14 games. That might be where the good times end.
Reds starter Andrew Abbott is 8-3 with a 2.41 ERA this season, and he’s been even better at home (4-2 in 12 starts with a 2.22 ERA). Milwaukee will counter with Jose Quintana, who is having a solid season (10-4, 3.44 ERA) and has been excellent on the road (7-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 10 starts).
Both lineups are hot (Brewers hitting .332 over the last week; Reds .277), but Abbott gives Cincinnati the edge.
Our Pick: Reds ML at -102

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Tyler Glasnow will start for the Dodgers. He’s 1-1 with a 3.08 ERA and .172 OBA in 11 starts, and even better at home (2.15 ERA and .160 OBA across seven starts). Padres starter Yu Darvish is 2-3 with a 5.61 ERA, but he has looked sharp in his last three outings (just four runs allowed total).
The Dodgers have hit .229 over the last week, while the Padres are at .273. Both have scored 28 runs across their last six games.
Our Pick: Padres ML
Darvish’s struggles this season are a concern, but San Diego has a phenomenal bullpen. If they pull him at the first sign of trouble, the pen can pick up the slack. Glasnow has been strong lately, allowing only nine runs in his last six starts. On paper, this looks like a toss-up. But the Padres have the second-best record in baseball since the break (17-9), while the Dodgers are just 11-14. San Diego finds a way to win.
