Syracuse Football Players Stabbed; Former Player Arrested
Police charged former Syracuse defensive back Naesean Howard with two counts of assault after stabbings landed two current Orange players in the hospital.
Syracuse defensive backs Chauncey Scissum and Corey Winfield are returning starters for the Orange, and cops say they were both victimized by Howard yesterday afternoon. Howard had previously played for Syracuse before being dismissed from the program in 2014. The Post-Standard reports Howard had re-enrolled in the university and was seeking to make his way back onto the team.
