Geno Smith is making the most of this opportunity by playing historically well
You remember Geno Smith, don’t you? The former New York Jets starting quarterback whose career was derailed in 2015 after getting sucker punched by a defensive player who hasn’t played in the NFL since that season. The guy who replaced Eli Manning for one week in 2017. The quarterback of the last-of...
J.J. Watt plans to play just days after having his heart shocked back into rhythm
Arizona Cardinals’ defensive end J.J. Watt posted an alarming Tweet Sunday morning just hours before kickoff of the team’s game on the east coast against the Carolina Panthers. Watt stated that some news about him had been leaked and was going to be reported today. Immediately, most who caught this ...
NFL Week 4: Are backup QBs better than we give them credit for?
America loves an underdog story, but the betting public hates backup quarterbacks. Despite the Cowboys going 2-0 with Cooper Rush filling in for Dak Prescott, Dallas is seeing only 16.7 percent of bets placed on them to take down their division rivals, the Washington Commanders on Sunday....
College Football Week 5: A veritable smorgasbord of appetizing games
There’s no more hiding for college football teams. The tune-ups are over, and now conference foes are getting thrown together like peanut butter and jelly. Don’t like that? How about Bell pepper, meet onion? Cereal, meet milk. Alabama, meet Arkansas. NC State, meet Clemson. Oklahoma State, meet a po...

Thursday Night Football: Tyreek Hill vs. Eli Apple headlines Dolphins, Bengals AFC matchup
Week 4 of the season starts off with the battle of surprise teams. Last year the Cincinnati Bengals shocked the league and took that momentum all the way to the Super Bowl. Through three weeks in 2022, the Miami Dolphins take that crown as they’re 3-0 with a massive victory over this year’s Super Bo...
Dick Butkus: Comedy icon
When the NFL’s 100 Greatest Players of All Time list was assembled back in 2010, legendary Chicago Bears middle linebacker Dick Butkus was voted 10th by the panel. He was presented by longtime Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach Howard Mudd. A story he told about Butkus pretty much sums up the l...
Trevor Lawrence is finally looking like the QB we thought he’d be coming out of Clemson
Following Trevor Lawrence’s rookie NFL season, many people questioned whether he’d develop into the quarterback he’s been projected as since high school. After one tumultuous campaign (mainly because of Urban Meyer’s behavior) in the NFL, many analysts and fans were ready to write Lawrence off. But ...
Why it’s easy to feel good about this Jags team
The Jacksonville Jaguars shocked the NFL world this past Sunday when they not only defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, but absolutely molly-whopped them 38-10. Yes, Keenan Allen was out. Yes, Justin Herbert was working through a rib injury. But no one was expecting this type of beatdown. This was a D...
The NFL’s bottom five QBs of Week 3
Each week of the NFL season, we watch some fantastic quarterback performances. Then we have those that make us cringe. For every great QB outing, there are five others that make even the most diehard fan want to puke....
The Marty McFly College Football Rankings Week 4: Rocky Top tops the list after holding off Florida
Praise be to the college football gods who provided me with enough undefeated, resurgent programs to continue to populate this list. Of the seven teams to have curried Michael J. Fox’s favor, three of them have two losses. Miami, Florida, and Texas all lost again Saturday, and only one of them to a ...
2022 Rookie wide receiver ranking Week 3: Chris Olave, Drake London, and Garrett Wilson show out
Last season we did our weekly rookie quarterback tracker, but with only one taken in the first round of 2022, we’ve moved onto another highly coveted position. For 2022 we’ll keep track of all six first-round wide receivers and their progress throughout the year. Some of our first-round rookies are ...
NFL’s Week 3 MVP and LVP: Lamar Jackson vs. Jalen Hurts and Jimmy G vs. Justin Fields
The Washington Commanders sit atop the NFL’s porcelain throne but they are also kingmakers themselves — for other offenses. Jack del Rio’s January 6 defense fared better in front of Washington fans than his 2022 defensive unit has. Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith both feasted on the Commanders’ carcas...
Was Miami's Butt Block the NFL’s greatest sports blooper since the Butt Fumble?
From the division that brought us the Butt Fumble came a worthwhile sequel from the Miami Dolphins in the wild, final minutes of their 21-19 win over the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen threw 63 passes, which is an absurd amount for such a low-scoring affair. Butt his efforts were the subplot to the gridi...
Cooper Kupp’s dominance knows no bounds as he continues to set NFL records for the Rams
The 2022 NFL season has gotten off to a slow start for the Los Angeles Rams. LA was pummeled by the Buffalo Bills in the season opener, 31-10. The Rams haven’t looked great all-around, but the one constant has been Cooper Kupp’s production. In Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, Kupp could become ...
Will Buffalo's Super Bowl dreams be dashed after Micah Hyde injury?
When fully healthy, the Buffalo Bills have one of the greatest safety tandems in the NFL with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. However, as of Saturday, the Bills will be forced to play without one of them for the entire season....
Delusional Donald: Trump thinks miraculous Jets win makes Robert Saleh 'greater than Vince Lombardi'
For most of his life, former President Donald Trump has been obsessed with football. There are failed bids to become the owner of an NFL team, taking control of the New Jersey Generals in a past version of the USFL, and calling players like Colin Kaepernick who knelt during the national anthem to pr...
This company is still sticking by Brett Favre
As the misdeeds of Brett Favre continue to worsen, the image of the clean-cut Packers’ quarterback has deteriorated from all sane walks of life. Tag in Copper Fit, a brand of copper-infused athletic apparel designed to help reduce soreness and increase productivity, who you might’ve seen from infome...
Washington Commanders’ Carson Wentz is finally realizing the errors of his past
It’s funny sometimes how people don’t realize the error in their ways until it’s too late. Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz is finally admitting that he could have done better during his time in Philadelphia. It wasn’t solely about what he did on the field but more about him as a teamm...
The media needs to treat Brett Favre like it did Michael Vick and Colin Kaepernick
Newsflash: As much as you love them, dogs aren’t humans. And as much as it might have infuriated you, asking the police to do their job isn’t a fireable offense that should get you blackballed in your industry....
