This week in MLB: Yamamoto's free agency adds more spice than Ohtani's; moves galore across the hot stoveThe Yoshinobu Yamamoto sweepstakes are infinitely more interesting and illuminating than Shohei Ohtani’s free agency for many reasons: People have been allowed to report on them, there seem to be more suitors than just the Dodgers and a couple are based in the last few baseball-rabid markets in Amer...

It's almost 2024 and the Yankees still won't allow beardsEarlier this year, the New York Yankees added sponsored sleeve patches to player jerseys, but as one ex-player pointed out, still won’t let go of its outdated facial hair policy that’s likely still costing the Bronx Bombers from signing certain players....

No one does goodbyes, or hellos, like baseballThe MLB playoffs start tomorrow, which still gives us a day to reflect on the season gone. Case in point, Friday night at Dodger Stadium when Cody Bellinger was given a standing ovat...

Oneil Cruz is in Pittsburgh to provide no hope

The most exciting time, other than any actual championship, for a fan of a team that is supposedly in a total rebuild is when the hopes for the future start to populate that Major League roster. The Phillies OF should probably wear their helmets in the field, too

When in the NL East, and having designs on competing to win it, the natural conclusion is that you’ll have to score a lot of runs to do so. Fair enough. The Braves are still here, Ronald Acuña Jr. is going to be healthy (enough), A team also can’t expect Francisco Lindor to be in a constant state of...
