MLB uniform controversy; Scott Boras finally succeeds; Trouble brewing for USWNT?While see-through pants have been the talk of spring training so far, that might not matter as much to fans (at least non-evangelical ones, Woe to Cardinals Nation), as fans don’t tend to want to buy the pants the players are wearing. Maybe you’ve got use for baseball pants in your everyday life, an...

Finally, one of Scott Boras’ strays finds a homeEven though spring training is now in full swing, games are being played and every player is hanging dong unintentionally, the major story in MLB remained the four Scott Boras clients that had yet to sign a contract. That number dropped to three, as Cody Bellinger will be fostered by the Cubs, who t...

The Blue Jays need to be built on fact instead of mythIn a lot of ways, feverishly watching the flight route of a plane that wasn’t everything it was cracked up to be is a pretty nice metaphor for the Toronto Blue Jays’ offseason and outlook. Why has MLB free agency ground to a halt?

We were told that once Shohei Ohtani signed, or promised to the Dodgers that he can take all his money after the ocean reclaims Los Angeles as a whole, the rest of the free agents would start to fly off the shelves. It’s now Jan. 3, spring training is about six weeks away, and most of the free agent...

The New York Mets can, and should fall back on their billionaire owner

Welp, so much for that idea. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a Los Angeles Dodger, and the New York Mets are still the Mets. After putting on a full-court press for the Japanese ace, giving it 115 percent, and leaving it all on the field, owner Steve Cohen’s efforts amounted to diddly squat. Now it’s back to ...
