Lou Anna Simon Is Finally Leaving Michigan State
Disgraced former Michigan State president Lou Anna Simon will retire from the university at the end of August, according to a report from MSU Today. It’s been a long and ignominious slide for Simon, whose 15-year tenure as president at MSU was marked by a “culture of indifference and institutional p...

Kenny Goins's Family Is Still Paying Off The Loan That Brought Him To Michigan State
One of the more heartwarming stories from this NCAA Tournament, provided you can forget about the horrors surrounding Michigan State as an institution, was the big shot hit by Spartans senior Kenny Goins in their Elite Eight win against Duke. Goins, a former walk-on, nailed a three with half a minut...
The Glance That Put Michigan State In The Final Four
It is one of those historical ironies of the sport that Duke is heading home because the refs didn’t call many fouls on them. Usually, the free-throw disparity—the Blue Devils took 13 to Michigan State’s six—and perceived favoritism works in Duke’s favor. But not on Sunday, not in the closing second...
Coach K's Trust In R.J. Barrett Ruins Duke's Final Four Dreams
With two-and-a-half minutes remaining in regulation, Zion Williamson attracted a double-team in the post and found an open RJ Barrett at the top of the three-point arc so that his Canadian teammate could give Duke a 64-63 lead. No one knew it at the time, but that shot would wind up being the last p...
Stop Excusing Tom Izzo’s Assholery
The only thing more predictable than Tom Izzo going apeshit on one of his own players, to the point where MSU freshman forward Aaron Henry’s teammates had to actively restrain the head coach, was the parade of dipshits and assholes rushing to Izzo’s defense and framing any criticism of his sideline ...
Tom Izzo Isn't Sorry For Having To Be Restrained From Going After A Freshman
Michigan State head coach/psycho Tom Izzo briefly lost his mind yesterday, exploding at freshman forward Aaron Henry during a timeout—after a 10-0 Spartans run, by the way—in MSU’s eventual 76-65 first-round win over Bradley. This is nothing new for Izzo (which is an indictment rather than a defense...
Tom Izzo Flips Out On Aaron Henry, Has To Be Held Back By Players
No. 2 seed Michigan State hasn’t looked great so far in their first tournament game against Bradley. The Spartans trailed at halftime, but were able to re-established some control over the game with a 10-0 run at the start of the second half. That positive stretch wasn’t good enough to save freshman...
Disgraced Former Michigan State President John Engler Gets Courtside Seats For School's Basketball Games
John Engler, Michigan State’s former interim president who had to resign in disgrace because he was so repulsive and incompetent at filling in for his repulsive and incompetent predecessor Lou Anna Simon (who had also resigned in disgrace), still somehow isn’t toxic enough to not get courtside treat...

Michigan State's Kyle Ahrens Exits Big Ten Championship Game On Stretcher After Gruesome Ankle Injury [Update]
Late in the first half, Michigan State forward Kyle Ahrens jumped for a rebound and landed right on his ankle. The Spartan immediately fell to the floor in agonizing pain and play was stopped just seconds later. Ahrens’s ankle had to be put into an air cast as his teammates and coaches looked on wit...
A 50 Percent Free-Throw Shooter Helped Seal Purdue's Upset Over Michigan State With Six Straight Free Throws
After a historically terrible opening half, Michigan State began to look like its No. 6-ranked self in the second half of its game against Purdue on Saturday. The Spartans were down 55-32 with just over 13 minutes in regulation, but went on a 24-5 run to cut the Boilermakers’ lead down to four, 60-5...
Michigan Attorney General Wants To Question Disgraced Former MSU Interim President John Engler
Michigan attorney general Dana Nessel has requested an interview with John Engler, who resigned as Michigan State University interim president earlier this week to avoid being fired the next day. The AG’s office has accused Engler and MSU of “stonewalling” its investigation into the university’s han...
