With Julio Jones shipped to Titans, a look back at the memorable receiver deals and who won them
Julio Jones isn’t the first big name wide receiver to be traded. In fact, of the top skill positions on the offensive side of the ball, I feel like marquee receivers get moved more than any other position. Whether it’s due to contract disputes, diva personalities, or clashes with coaches, it’s alway...
Stop making nonsensical ‘Build a roster with $10’ thingys
You know what I hate? I hate seeing those grid posts on social media that give you a certain budget to create a lineup. Seriously, I don’t understand the point of them at all. Those websites should really stop posting these things....
Ravens will take to the air
I’m going to keep talking about it until people start understanding what’s happening, because the clues just keep on coming: The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are going to throw the football a lot more this year. ...
Saints’ Michael Thomas is going to prove all his haters wrong in 2021
If you ask a bunch of random people on the street who the best receiver in the National Football League is right now, you’d probably get a wide array of different answers. Green Bay’s Davante Adams would probably get a couple votes. Arizona’s DeAndre Hopkins would as well. Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs,...
Three yards and a cloud of dust won’t cut it in AFC North anymore, and draft proves it
When I think of the AFC North, I think of smashmouth football. I think of Jerome Bettis vs. Ray Lewis. I think of physical, hard-hitting games, ending in scores like 13-9. I think of heavy-set run formations, with three yards and a cloud of dust, accompanied by some of the best defensive players acr...
Mocking the Mock Draft: First-round scenarios sure to piss everyone off
You all have seen more mock drafts than you can count by now. I get it. I promise you, though, you have not and will not see another that resembles this in any way. With the NFL Draft finally, mercifully starting soon, let’s have a little fun and create the most chaotic mock draft we can think of. M...
Ravens-Chiefs Orlando Brown trade could work brilliantly for both teams
Two of the best teams in the AFC just made a trade with one another that was absolutely brilliant for both teams. The Chiefs, who watched the best quarterback in the NFL run for his life in the Super Bowl, acquired Pro-Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown from the Baltimore Ravens. The two teams also...
Let Stefon Diggs remind you of your empty New Year’s resolution
It’s early January. If you’re like me, you’ve made an extremely vague New Year’s resolution you’ll forget you ever had within a matter of weeks. Of course you didn’t tell anyone of this resolution. You don’t want people actually holding you to your word. Mine was to floss more, yours was to go to th...
Who's the best WR in the NFL? We rank 'em!
In a seemingly never-ending debate, there appears to be a new king of the mountain each week for who the best wide receiver in the NFL is. Ask 10 people and you’ll get 10 different answers — some prefer size, some prefer route running, some prefer speed. It’s like asking me what my favorite kind of ...
Brady Going to Tampa? Hopkins Shipped For A Bag of Balls? NFL Players Losing Their Minds Over Flurry of Moves
NFL players have been shook by the start of this free agency period. ...
The Eagles Should Try Covering Stefon Diggs
It’s still just midway through the second quarter, and Stefon Diggs has caught four of five targets for 135 yards and two touchdowns. That includes a pair of bombs that the Eagles secondary made look much easier than an NFL defense ought to....
Stefon Diggs Returns To Vikings Practice, Is Vague And Grumpy
While Vikings QB Kirk Cousins somewhat patched things up with his WR Adam Thielen on a podcast this week, the other prominent guy who catches his passes is in a different mood. Stefon Diggs, who was also frustrated about the offensive strategy during Sunday’s loss to the Bears, was absent from Wedne...
Adam Thielen Tries Very Hard To Not Say Anything Mean About His Bad Quarterback
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins’s play through the first four games of this season has resembled his center’s pants after a few snaps. His biggest problem is that he struggles to throw a deep, accurate ball. Both the defense and his own receivers know it....
Despite Evidence To The Contrary, Adam Thielen Insists His Touchdown Dance Is Cool
The dance isn’t the Bernie. Even though it very much looks like the Bernie, and there’s no significant difference between it and the Bernie, Adam Thielen’s touchdown dance is not the Bernie. The Vikings receiver wants to get that straight....
Okay, Here Is The Last Minneapolis Miracle Video You'll Need
It’s been nearly three whole days since Stefon Diggs caught the ball and turned around to find nothing but open field in front of him, and I’m not ashamed to say I’m still jazzed up about it! If you’re like me, then you will enjoy this latest video compilation of the play, courtesy of the Minnesota ...
Oh No, Marcus Williams
Twelve or so hours later and I still don’t know what happened. I don’t know what Marcus Williams was thinking when he went low, and also a little sideways, and ended up missing Stefon Diggs altogether and instead taking out his own teammate, allowing Diggs to float unthreatened down the field for on...
Stefon Diggs Flagged For Pretending To Be A Plane And Jumping Into The Goalposts
The NFL relaxed its touchdown celebration rules this year, but some things are still verboten. For example, Le’Veon Bell was penalized earlier this year for punching the goalposts like Vai Sikahema....
Somehow, The Vikings Might Be The Best Team In The NFC
When Teddy Bridgewater’s leg exploded into powder, it looked like the Vikings were in trouble. When Adrian Peterson hurt his knee then did a walk of shame through a restaurant, it looked the Vikings were in even more trouble. Instead of collapsing into a dumb pile of rubble led by Shaun Hill, they’r...
That Was Everything The Vikings Wanted From Sam Bradford
Even if there’s every chance he eventually gets injured, as is his wont, or lapses into mediocrity, as is his hallmark, it’s still OK to say it now: Sam Bradford was awesome last night....
