Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal threw a full bullpen session on Monday, resuming his usual five-day routine, according to The Athletic.
Skubal had surgery to remove a loose body from his left elbow on May 6.
Monday's throwing session was the two-time Cy Young winner's second time throwing off a mound since his surgery, but the first time using all his pitches.
"Everything was very normal," Skubal said. "I think that's what the goal is, to get back to normal as fast as possible and get in a five-day rotation and get your body back in shape to be back in the big leagues."
Skubal's surgery was done with a NanoNeedle 2.0, a surgical tool that is expected to expedite his recovery. A normal arthroscopic procedure usually results in a 2-3 month recovery time.
Skubal is 3-2 this season with a 2.70 ERA and 0.946 WHIP in seven starts.
