Travis Kelce dispels Taylor Swift relationship conspiracy theories

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has had plenty of experience dealing with haters as a member of the team heading to their fourth Super Bowl in six years. He’s also had to deal with that same energy being directed at his relationship with singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
The 12-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s impact on the NFL season has been undeniable. A LendingTree survey of U.S. consumers found that 16% of Americans admitted to spending money on the Super Bowl directly because of Swift. Apex Marketing estimated Swift’s relationship with Kelce generated $331.5 million in brand value for the Chiefs. A custom Kelce jacket worn by Swift landed Kristin Juszczyk a licensing deal with the NFL.
That kind of impact has made the Swift-Kelce relationship a hot topic in NFL circles. The most famous woman in the world right now attends Chiefs games, and broadcast cameras keep cutting to her in big moments, pissing off the worst kind of people. The conversation around this has reached such a fever pitch that right-wingers are calling the relationship a Democrat psyop and Swifties are reposting Colin Cowherd clips defending the couple. What a time to be alive.
Kelce finally addressed the matter in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday.
“Hopefully, everybody realizes that we’re two people in a relationship supporting each other and having fun with it,” Kelce said. “It’s nothing more than that. As much as the world wants to paint the picture and make us the enemy, we just have fun with it and we enjoy every single bit of it. I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It’s been nothing but just a wonderful year.”
Kelce added that he and Swift never bring up the haters.
“We hear about it, but we hardly ever talk about it,” Kelce said. “It’s nothing even to talk about.”
