The Horned Frogs (13-7, 3-4 Big 12), who defeated the Bears 69-63 in the conference opener on Jan. 3, completed a regular-season sweep of their rival for the first time since the 2017-18 season. Brock Harding finished with 16 points and six assists, and Tanner Toolson had 12 points for TCU.
TCU was without leading scorer and rebounder David Punch (illness). Micah Robinson started in Punch's place and finished with six points.
Baylor (11-8, 1-6) has lost six of its last seven after its late rally fell short. Tounde Yessoufou and Isaac Williams had 21 points apiece to lead the Bears. Cameron Carr had 20 points, six assists and six rebounds, and Obi Agbim added 15 points for Baylor.
The Bears made it interesting late after trailing 83-72 with less than two minutes left. They pulled to within 88-82 on a three-point play by Carr with 57 seconds left.
Baylor then cut the deficit to 94-90 with 16 seconds left on a dunk by Caden Powell, taking advantage of a TCU turnover. But Edmonds made two free throws with 14 seconds left to extend the lead to 96-90, allowing the Horned Frogs to prevail.
It was a tight battle much of the night with 10 lead changes and nine ties.
TCU appeared to pull away in the second half, taking a double-digit lead at 62-52 on a 3-pointer by Pierre with just over 10 minutes left. The Frogs went on to lead by as many as 17, building a 77-60 advantage on a dunk by Edmonds with 5:52 left.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday with TCU hosting No. 6 Houston and Baylor traveling to Cincinnati.
