Team Liquid reach upper-bracket final in LCS playoffs

Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports Team Liquid swept 100 Thieves 3-0 on Saturday in an upper-bracket semifinal matchup at the League Championship Series Summer Split playoffs in Los Angeles.
Team Liquid will face the winner of Sunday's other semifinal, Cloud 9 vs. FlyQuest, in the upper-bracket final on Aug 31.
Team Liquid won all three games in green in 27 minutes, 31 minutes and 24 minutes, respectively. Sean "Yeon" Sung of the United States produced an average 7/2/8.6 kill-death-assist ratio for Team Liquid.
South Korea's Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung wound up at 3.3/3.3/2.3 for 100 Thieves.
All playoff matches in North America's top League of Legends competition are best-of-five. The winner of the tournament will take home $100,000 of the $200,000 prize pool, with the top three teams qualifying for the World Championship.
The playoffs continue Sunday with one match: Cloud9 vs. FlyQuest (upper-bracket semifinal)
