Texans Coach Refuses To Reveal Which Bad Quarterback He Will Start
Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien has to decide whether he will start Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallett at quarterback this Sunday. Both played okay in Week 1, but neither are good enough to make the decision one that really matters. Choosing between Mallett and Hoyer is like deciding whether to start a turnip or a beet. And yet, O’Brien is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats!
At today’s presser, O’Brien was asked directly which quarterback will get the start, to which he replied:
“Quarterback. You guys will find out on Sunday. It’ll be a decision that again is in the best interest of the team.”
He was then asked if Hoyer and Mallett even know who is going to start, and he gave basically the same answer:
It will be in the best interest of the team. The quarterback that plays on Sunday, you guys will see who it is on the first offensive snap of the game on Sunday.
Anyway, it’s probably going to be Ryan Mallett. I know the suspense was killing you.
