Texans sign T Braden Smith to 2-year, $25M deal
Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Braden Smith (72) moves on the field Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, during a game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Houston Texans agreed to a two-year, $25 million deal with longtime Indianapolis Colts tackle Braden Smith.
The contract includes $13.5 million fully guaranteed, agent Michael Perrett of Priority Sports told ESPN on Tuesday.
Smith, who turns 30 on March 25, started 105 of his 107 games with the Colts since 2018, mostly at right tackle.
Indianapolis drafted Smith in the second round in 2018. He made 13 starts last season, missing time in concussion protocol.
It's the latest move with an offensive lineman for the Texans, who reached a one-year, $7 million extension last week with veteran tackle Trent Brown and re-signed right guard Ed Ingram to a three-year, $37.5 million deal on Monday.
