Texas A&M Sports Reporter Goes Missing Over The Weekend, Found Unharmed Underneath Overpass [Update]
Image via [object Object] Houston police said Courtney Roland, a reporter who covers Texas A&M football for Rivals.com, was found unharmed underneath an overpass in the Galleria area this morning after she was reported missing Saturday.
According to KPRC, Roland had been covering a Texas football camp on Saturday when she texted her roommate after midnight about a suspicious man following her at a pharmacy. Per the roommate, the man followed Roland home in a blue truck but sped off after she got out of her car.
Though Roland was reported missing on Sunday, police said a witness saw the reporter walking alone at a store in the Galleria mall Sunday around 5:40 p.m. There’s also this strange detail from KPRC:
Roland’s mother said that on Sunday she received a text from her phone saying, “hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad.”
Roland’s car was found in a parking lot in the mall; Houston PD said her phone and other items were inside the vehicle, but her purse was at a “nearby business.”
