The Apparently Unstoppable Cleveland Indians Are A Win Away From The World Series
Photo credit: Vaugh Ridley/ [object Object] Despite starter Trevor Bauer springing a leak and spouting blood out of his finger in the first inning, the Cleveland Indians are now just one win from their first World Series in almost 20 years. Their bullpen went more or less the distance, and nobody pitched more than 1.2 innings as they locked down a 4-2 win and a daunting 3-0 series lead.
Mike Napoli was the Indians’ best player tonight, scoring Carlos Santana on a double, jacking a dinger, stealing second, and subsequently scoring from second on a Jose Ramirez single. The Indians are on a historic hot streak, winning their first six games of the playoffs. The last time they lost a game was September 28. Corey Kluber will start Game 4, and the Blue Jays will roll with Aaron Sanchez.
