The Astros Keep Jacking
Jim Mone/ [object Object] The Astros swept the Twins in Minnesota this afternoon, hitting six home runs in the process.
Fans in attendance were treated to what was essentially a live batting practice session with real consequences. Overall, there were a total of nine home runs during the game, and the Astros prevailed 17-6.
George Springer continued to rake, blasting two dongs very far out of the park:
He almost hit the upper deck with his 473-footer:
It’s enough to make you feel a little sorry for the inanimate, dumb baseball (if not reliever Ryan Pressly as well).
That’s now 13 home runs for Springer this season, and 82 total home runs for the Astros, the most in the league. They’ve won seven in a row, and put up 40 runs on the Twins in this three-game series. That’s a damn spectacle.
