The Brave Soldiers Of The Smoking Gun
This image was lost some time after publication. This here is Joe Morgan. No, obviously, not that Joe Morgan; this is Joe Morgan, an 18-year-old kid who was arrested with aggravated sexual abuse in Peoria, Illinois. He's part of The Smoking Gun's all-star lineup of mugshots of people with famous baseball players' names. Our favorite is Bobby Bonds.
Which brings us to another thing we wanted to mention: The Smoking Gun actually just came out with a book called The Dog Dialed 911, which is a compendium of some of the best documents they've uncovered in their 10 years of online existence. Obviously, the big hits are there — James Frey, the lesbian cheerleaders, five violent strip club episodes — but our favorite was this lurid tidbit from the Kobe Bryant's rape testimony report.
We asked Bryant where did he ejaculate. He stated he ejaculated onto a white shirt after [redacted] left. We asked if we could have that t-shirt. Bryant agreed. I followed him into Bryant's room. Bryant then threw the t-shirt at me. I told Bryant not to throw it at me because I would come pick it up in a safe location. I caught the t-shirt around the neck region. Bryant told me he didn't "shoot it" up that far.
Honestly ... The Smoking Gun guys are doing the Lord's work.
