The Cardinals Lost Their 47th Game
Photo: [object Object] Bartolo Colón stymied Cardinals hitters with eight strikeouts over seven innings of one-run ball Tuesday as the New York Mets beat St. Louis, 3-1.
The Mets’ lineup squeezed three runs (one unearned) out of Redbirds starter Jaime García before he departed after five innings. Addison Reed pitched a perfect eighth for New York; Jeurys Familia recorded his 36th save of the season.
The Cardinals’ rotation has three pitchers with ERAs over 4.00. García has an ERA of 3.97. There’s always the next game!
