The Cardinals Lost Their 50th Game
Photo: [object Object] Outfielder Scott Schebler obliterated a baseball for a three-run walk-off home run, giving the Cincinnati Reds a 7-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday.
Schebler, who had been called up after the Reds traded Jay Bruce, took reliever Seung-hwan Oh’s offering and put it deep into the right-field seats. It was Schebler’s first career walk-off home run:
The Cardinals had gained a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning when Brandon Moss and Tommy Pham hit solo homers, but Schebler’s heroics erased their hard work. The two teams hit a combined seven home runs in the game.
The Cardinals are 56-50. There’s always the next game!
