The Cardinals Lost Their 56th Game
Photo: Jon Durr/ [object Object] The St. Louis Cardinals followed last night’s loss by walk-off walk by getting obliterated in today’s day game. The Chicago Cubs won in a rout, 13-2.
Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright gave up seven earned runs in two innings before he departed the game. The Cubs also hammered long reliever Jerome Williams with four home runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Matt Szczur clobbered two dongs off Williams; Jorge Soler and Javier Báez each homered once.
The Cardinals are 60-56. There’s always the next game!
