The Cardinals Lost Their Eighth Game

Andrew Cashner threw six innings of three-hit ball and the Padres bullpen did the rest as San Diego beat St. Louis last night, 4-1.

Wil Myers drove in three runs for the Padres with a trio of hits, including a solo homer. Adam Wainwright allowed seven hits and three earned runs in his six innings of work; his record on the season drops to 0-3 for the Cardinals, who fall to third place in the NL Central standings.
