The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the St. Louis Cardinals in extras Tuesday with Jordy Mercer’s walkoff RBI single in the 11th inning. Right-handed reliever Seth Maness was tagged with the loss.
The Cardinals, who struck out 14 times in their first loss on Sunday, are now 0-2. There’s always the next game!
