The Crappy, Grumpy Suns Took Two Cheap Shots At Ricky Rubio
credits: Rick Bowmer | source: AP One thing about being on an NBA team that’s rounding into the home stretch of a miserable tanking campaign is that it can make you cranky as hell. As evidence, please see the shenanigans the Suns got into with the Jazz last night.
Marquese Chriss flubbed a dunk and fell awkwardly and then Ricky Rubio, who had nothing to do with Chriss falling on his face, committed the cardinal sin of retrieving the ball and inbounding it. That was enough to earn him a hard shove from Jared Dudely, and then another blindside hit from Chriss. Suns, please calm down!
Chriss and Dudley were both ejected from the game, and the Jazz went on to win 116-88. It’s important that we not let this brief skirmish distract us from the fact that Chriss went up for a dunk, came up about three feet short of the rim, and then flopped right into the floor.
