The Indians' Bullpen Spent Last Night's Game Practicing Their Juggling Skills
Reader Nick sent this video from last night's White Sox-Indians game. He was sitting next to Cleveland's bullpen when some relievers started practicing their juggling skills. According to Nick, this happened in the bottom of the eighth inning; by then, the Indians had a 6-4 lead. (They ended up winning.) If they're not called upon, relievers have to entertain themselves with something, right? The Red Sox have spoon bands, and apparently, the Indians have juggling.
This scene is a metaphor for any last-place team in September: players seeking peace as one squandered season limps to a close, while a baby wails and reminds them that next year will bring only more of the same.
