The Padres Gave Up One Of The Dumbest Walk-Offs Of The Season
Photo credit: Tom Szczerbowski/ [object Object] The San Diego Padres lost to the Blue Jays last night in a game where Alex Dickerson hit the everliving shit out of a baseball, then lost tonight in incredibly cruel fashion. The game went to extra innings ( after Russell Martin bat flipped away getting hit by a pitch), and Matt Kemp smacked a two-run dinger in the top of the 12th inning.
That’s usually good enough to take home the win, but the Padres blew it and lost, 7-6. Losing on a walk-off dinger or a cool hit or something is a perfectly fine, albeit frustrating way to blow a two-run lead in extras. However, taking the L after a wild pitch brings in the final run is nothing short of embarrassing.

At least the Padres continued their dinger streak, and now only need three more games with a dong to tie the streak for most consecutive games with at least one homer. As for Toronto, they lost like this a few months ago, and are now even in the eyes of the Baseball Gods, probably.
