The Phillies Put One In the Win Column Already
Home Run Derby kicks off its World Series coverage in the classiest way possible, by pitting the Ball Girls of the Philadelphia against those people that jump on top of the dugout for the Tampa Bay Rays. So far, the Ball Girls are trouncing the Rays in online voting poll, which will hopefully be enough momentum to carry the Phillies to victory in game 1 tomorrow night after six days off. (Hey, anything helps.) Tonight is the last night I will officially be relaxing, so I'm going to enjoy it. Tomorrow, Will does his traditional long-winded preview and will reveal which team he'll inevitably jinx for the World Series. Also, Drew comes barreling in with his usual Jamboroo madness. (I admit: I'm in love with the Nazi Shark a little too much. For some reason, this hurts Drew's feelings.) Anyway, thank you for your continued support of Deadspin. In a sleepy London town, there's just no place for a SKEETS fighting man. 2008 World Series Preview: Philly Ball Girls vs. The Ray Team [Home Run Derby]
