The Return Of Barry Bonds
This image was lost some time after publication. After almost a month away from us, elusively beefy Giants outfielder Barry Bonds has finally given back to his fans on his online journal. Touted as the way Bonds could communicate with his real fans without that bastard media bothering him, Barry hadn't had much to say to us for a while; the site had lain dormant since June 10.
Now that he's back, what does Barry have for us? Not much, we're afraid.
[T]here really hasn't been much to report. My rehab has been the same. Last week my knee slightly swelled, so I'll be taking it easy, sticking with range of motion and strengthening exercises. At this point in the season my outlook is still positive.
Well THAT'S exciting. Sheesh. The rest of Bonds' "update?" Buy Bonds baseball cards. Buy Bonds clothing. It's kind of depressing when a major sports star makes a big stink about talking directly to the fans, gets the opportunity and then uses it to hawk useless crap.
